Q. Can I hire just a bartender and nothing else?
A. Of Course! we understand everyone has a budget and having a fully set up bar is just not appropriate for smaller, more intimate parties. We are happy to work from a kitchen work top if needs be. However if you are looking to go all out and hire a bar then we will endeavor to source one for you.
Q. Can we provide our own drinks?
A. Yes. However the majority of our clients prefer for us to supply stock, this eliminates any chances for discrepancies and leaves you with an entirely hassle free evening.
Q. Can you provide all the drinks including beer, wine etc?
A. Generally we only tend to supply stock necessary to create the cocktails on your menu, however if you wish for us to supply other beverages we are happy to discuss this option with you personally.
Q. How many cocktail choices do you recommend for a standard house party?
A. Between 5 and 8 is the most successful. Too many will incur greater stock costs, but too few and people may get bored. Please refer to our Menu for more details on choosing your menu.
Q. How much room do you need to 'flair'?
A. The more room the better! The smallest floor space we require would be 3 meters by 2 meters per bartender. The entertainment from Flair comes from the risks taken, this becomes even riskier on hard floor surfaces so if possible soft floor surfaces are preferable. If it is not possible to set up on a soft surface then we may have to limit the moves we do to ensure no accidents. Alternatively hard floors can be padded, items such as carpet off-cuts or old rugs work perfectly.
Q. Why do we need so much ice?
A. Ice is very important when making cocktails. When serving drinks, we will fill the glass with ice to reduce melting and to get the drink as cold as possible. We will also use ice to shake the drinks and to chill glasses too. Don't forget, when we leave, you may still want to make drinks yourself (use caution!) and thus will require ice then also.
Q. Are your topless bartenders strippers or would they be willing to strip on the night should we request it of them?
A. MOST DEFINITELY NOT! As our homepage states we aim to provide an highly professional service suitable for anyone, our bartenders are topless and only topless. We operate a strict code of conduct between employees that attend events and the client, failure to comply can result in the suspension of the employee or an employee leaving an event prior to the arranged time if he feels this code of conduct has been breeched (depending on who is at fault) Having said that many of our employees would cringe at the idea of being asked to strip or being stereotyped as a stripper. At bare-Tenders we make no effort to mask our antipathy towards strippers and the associated industry.
